Rob & Alissia’s Wedding at The Inn On The Lake Ullswater Cumbria PT2

As promised this is the second part of Rob & Alissia’s wedding at The Inn On The Lake Ullswater Cumbria.  We have photographed a few weddings at this venue and it never fails to impress.  With the stunning backdrop of Ullswater Lake and the mountains beyond it makes an ideal location for such a happy day.  Rob and Alissia were both very keen to get the maximum out of their wedding photography, which makes it a real pleasure for us to work hard in creating as many opportunities as possible for images that the couple will cherish for a lifetime.  You can read their comments on the day on the previous blog, part 1, but suffice it to say they were both extremely happy with the results we obtained.

We are getting close to being fully booked for this year so if you think you would like to meet up with us for a chat about your wedding day plans for 2014 please do so as soon as possible.  We have already had to turn down a number of enquiries for dates we have been booked for and that is quite upsetting when a Bride and Groom have set their heart on having us photograph their day.  We can only photograph one wedding a day!

Pre Wedding Photography Hilton Hotel Manchester

Chris and Sharon opted for a pre-wedding photography shoot in Manchester so we arranged to meet them in the really cool Hilton Hotel on Deansgate.  It is many years since we have been into this part of Manchester and much has changed so it was a case of walking down streets and looking for great places to photograph.  Quite a change from taking wedding and pre wedding photographs in the Lake District!

The staff at the Hilton Hotel were fantastic and many thanks to Damian for the help he offered during the photoshoot. Chris and Sharon get married in May at Broadoaks Country House Hotel near Windermere. So this photoshoot represented a real contrast to what we will be using as background locations in May.  There is a real emotional story to tell about this couple but we will wait until after the wedding to tell it.

Rob & Alissia’s Wedding at The Inn On The Lake Ullswater Cumbria PT1

We have split Rob & Alissia’s wedding photography at The Inn On The Lake, Ullswater, Cumbria into two parts as there are so many photographs to tell the story of their day.  Weddings in The Lake District are fantastic at any time of the year but when the sun shines and the venue is a beautiful hotel leading down to a Lake it certainly makes our role as wedding photographers so much easier.  This wedding was last Sunday and we had finished processing all the images and uploaded them onto the private gallery by today.

Alissia then wrote the following message to us ‘We are extremely pleased with the photos. It just brings back all the memories from the day.  I felt like I was in a dream!  Thank you both so much it was the best thing we did having you as our photographers’.  We cannot really add much to that!  Alissia’s wedding gown was designed by  Watters.  Alissia’s hair was created by her Dad, John, who has his own business, John & Co, and makeup was by Samantha from Harmony in Cartmel.  Rob’s cool suit was from Vivienne Westwood.

Next week we will blog the second part of the wedding which includes all the intimate images of the happy couple!

Linthwaite Hotel Wedding Photography with Thomas & Natasha

In this weeks blog we are concentrating on the wedding photography of the Bride & Groom.  This set of photographs was taken at the beautiful Linthwaite Country House Hotel near Windermere Cumbria.  We set out to capture intimacy, romance, the elegance of the venue and the beautiful landscape that surrounds the Hotel.  You can be the judge of whether we succeeded!

To kick off 2014 we have some really cool new products from our Italian Album manufacturer which I will photograph and blog as soon as they arrive.  A completely new kind of luxury Album called Digital Matted which allows us to design raised varnish patterns around each photograph giving an almost 3D effect.  And an Image Box with individual mounted prints exquisitely displayed.  So watch out for images and news on those.  Our Facebook page which you can find at www.facebook.com/pages/Lake-District-Wedding-Photographer-aka-Schtuff-Photography/155751384442524 also has gathered momentum with a lot more people enjoying the daily images we post there.  So if you like our wedding photographic style then ‘Like’ our Facebook page.

Gold Award Fashion for Lake District Wedding Photographer

OK, I know this is my website dedicated to Wedding Photography and this is not a wedding photograph!  I did however feel very good when I received news this morning that we (Schtuff Photography) had been given a GOLD award for this fashion photograph we took earlier this year.  This was awarded by The Society Of Wedding and Portrait Photographers.  The pose and set up could just as easily been a wedding photograph so if you like the style we will give you a little insight into the photoshoot.

The location was Holbeck Ghyll Country House Hotel, so many thanks to all the staff at the Hotel who helped so much during the day.  The car was a Volkswagen Karman Ghia supplied by Clive from Lancashire Classic Hire Jaguar Limited.  Not a Jaguar this but a beautifully restored soft-top perfect for Weddings.  Make up and hair styling was by Sarah Louise Hewart and our model for this shoot was Millie.  My son in law Jody assisted on the shoot and in fact we had two other models with us on the day, namely Ginny and Bridie.

So there you go, head over heals that we have won a GOLD!  Whilst we are advertising everyone else’s involvement we would just like to promote our own photography business! We run full day one on one photography training courses starting at just £200 for the day, studio photoshoots from £65 per session and of course Wedding Photography from £500. So please give us a call.
